Salary Competitive — set per ACA salary grid based on qualifications & experience (tax-free)
Accommodation Furnished school housing provided (single: 1-bedroom; married ACA couple: 2-bedroom) or monthly housing allowance from BD 190/month (single) or BD 310/month (married)
International Medical Insurance Provided for employee + up to 2 dependents (spouse/child or 2 children)
Annual Airfare Allowance Yearly round-trip ticket to home of record for employee + up to 2 dependents; first-year tickets booked through the school
Settling-in Allowance BD 250 upon arrival (expatriate hires)
Excess Baggage Allowance BD 130 upon first arrival and upon completion of employment (min. 3 years service)
Visa Expenses BD 125 reimbursed for staff arriving with a completed Work Visa obtained overseas
Education Allowance 50% tuition discount at ACA for up to 2 children
Sick Leave 15 days at full pay; 20 days at half pay per year
Maternity / Paternity Leave 60 calendar days paid maternity leave; 1 day paid paternity leave
Personal Leave 2 personal leave days per contract year
Hajj Leave Up to 14 calendar days (once during employment, after 5 years of service)
Bereavement Leave Up to 3 calendar days; airline ticket provided for immediate family bereavement (overseas hires)
End-of-Service Indemnity As per Bahrain Labor Law
Contract Length 2 years (renewable)
Responsibilities
• Provide direct instruction and supervision to students in the school.
• Instill academic skills and equip students with problem-solving strategies applicable beyond the classroom.
• Teach diligently and faithfully the classes or subjects assigned by the Principal.
• Follow the prescribed curriculum as outlined for each grade level.
• Assist in the development, selection, and creation of curriculum, instructional materials, and supplies.
• Manage assigned class(es) effectively and report student progress to the Principal as requested.
• Maintain accurate records of students' academic and behavioral performance.
• Participate in regular parent conferences and maintain records in the prescribed school format.
• Encourage students in the pursuit of lifelong learning.
• Provide direction and support for student activities and after-school clubs (minimum one club per year).
• Attend and actively participate in grade-level meetings and scheduled staff meetings.
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, playground, and during breaks, recess, and dismissal.
• Make appropriate and timely referrals of students in difficulty to designated support personnel.
• Maintain and enhance professional competence by attending in-service training, seminars, and professional development.
• Promote ACA Bahrain positively at all times and foster cooperation among staff members.
• Use only textbooks approved by the BOT and Ministry of Education.
• Follow all school policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a closely related field.
• Valid teaching license/certification.
• Preferred 1–2 years of classroom experience; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and instructional methods.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in students' overall well-being.
• Fluent English language proficiency required.
