ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced Business and Economics educator looking for an exciting opportunity to teach abroad in the Middle East? Kuwait English School (KES) is seeking a talented and driven Business & Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across our Secondary and Sixth Form programmes, including GCSE and A-Level Business and Economics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach Business and Economics across Secondary and Sixth Form, including GCSE and A-Level programmes
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire students at all ability levels
- Incorporate real-world business case studies, current economic events, and entrepreneurial thinking into daily teaching
- Set, mark, and return assessments in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback to support student progress
- Track and monitor student performance, identifying those who require additional support or extension opportunities
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations, including GCSE and A-Level Business and Economics
- Contribute to the development and review of the Business and Economics curriculum in line with KES standards
- Participate in parent consultations, grade-level meetings, staff meetings, and faculty committees
- Support extracurricular activities such as enterprise events, economics clubs, or business competitions
- Supervise students in classrooms, during breaks, and at school events as directed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to the Head of Department and Principal as required
- Uphold and promote the values, ethos, and policies of Kuwait English School at all times
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Valid teaching license (QTS preferred)
- Experience teaching GCSE and / or A-Level Business or Economics
- Strong knowledge of business, finance, and macroeconomic principles
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Native or near-native English speaker
- Ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for secondary students
- Committed, student-centred, and collaborative approach to teaching
