BD 3,387 – BD 5,603 per year, tax-free (based on qualifications, language proficiency & experience)

Sick Leave

15 days at full pay; 20 days at half pay per year

Maternity Leave

60 calendar days paid leave from date of delivery

1 day paid paternity leave upon birth of child

Bereavement Leave

Up to 3 calendar days for immediate family bereavement

Personal Leave

2 personal leave days per contract year

Hajj Leave

Up to 14 calendar days (once during employment, after 5 years of service)

  Key Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering daily lessons, preparing materials, and organising learning activities.
  • Work with individual students or small groups under the teacher's direction to reinforce concepts and provide targeted support.
  • Help monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and attendance as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Supervise students during transitions, breaks, recess, lunch, and dismissal as assigned.
  • Support students' social-emotional development by modelling positive behaviour and encouraging respectful interactions.
  • Assist in preparing and organising classroom resources, displays, and instructional materials.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher, specialists, and support staff to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and all school matters at all times.
  • Promote and uphold the values and ethos of ACA Bahrain at all times.
  • Must be a resident of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • High school diploma as a minimum; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is an advantage.
  • Fluent English language proficiency — spoken and written (TOEFL 500+ or IELTS 6.0+ preferred for language allowance eligibility).
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition with a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player.
  • Previous experience working with children in a school, early years, or educational setting.
  • Basic understanding of child development and elementary education practices.
  • Experience in an international or multicultural school environment.

  • Must be a resident of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Fluent English language proficiency — spoken and written (TOEFL 500+ or IELTS 6.0+ preferred for language allowance eligibility).
