ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to hire a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to educate our school's students. The Physical Education Teacher will seek to accomplish the school's philosophy of education through instruction and example, and provide lessons that meet students' requirements, interests, and capabilities. Physical Education Teacher Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or Kinesiology
- Valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) certification preferred
- Preferred 1–2 years of relevant teaching experience; newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply
- Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods
Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and supervision to students in the school
- Deliver lessons that develop physical skills and encourage lifelong healthy habits
- Follow the prescribed PE curriculum as outlined for each year group
- Maintain accurate records of students' academic and behavioural performance as directed by the Principal
- Participate in regular conferencing with parents and keep records in the prescribed school format
- Provide direction and support for student activities and after-school clubs
- Attend and actively participate in year group, department, and staff meetings
- Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, and during breaks, recess, and dismissal
- Assist in the development and selection of curriculum materials and resources
- Maintain and enhance professional competence by attending in-service training and professional development sessions
- Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
