ABOUT THE ROLE

Kuwait English School (KES) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our Inclusion Department. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide individualized support, promote inclusion, and help every learner achieve their full potential within the British Curriculum.

| Bereavement Leave | Up to 5 calendar days with airfare provided for eligible overseas staff |
| Personal Leave | 2 days per contract year |
| End-of-Service Gratuity | Provided in accordance with Kuwait Labour Law |
| Contract Length | 2 years (renewable) |
Benefits are provided in accordance with the KES Compensation Policy 2026–2027.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver individualized support to students with special educational needs.
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold KES policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Clear criminal record and ability to obtain a Kuwait work visa.
