The successful candidate will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote student wellbeing, provide guidance services, and foster a positive and inclusive school environment.

School Counselor Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in School Counseling (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant counseling experience (preferred).
  • School counseling or teaching license (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

School Counselor Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic, social, emotional, and career development.
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
  • Deliver the school's guidance and wellbeing programme.
  • Support students through crisis intervention and safeguarding procedures where appropriate.
  • Assist with student scheduling, transitions, referrals, and student support plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
  • Monitor student wellbeing and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Participate in parent meetings, multidisciplinary meetings, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
