ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher who can inspire confidence, imagination, and a love of performance in students?
Kuwait English School (KES) is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher capable of teaching Drama up to IGCSE level. Experience teaching A-Level Drama would be welcomed.
The successful candidate will play an active role in promoting Drama throughout the school. This includes supporting after-school clubs and contributing to, or leading, a school production each year. Drama teachers are expected to commit to after-school rehearsals when required to ensure the success of the school’s productions.
KES follows the National Curriculum for England and offers Cambridge and Pearson qualifications within a diverse international community.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach engaging and creative Drama lessons up to IGCSE level.
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the British Curriculum.
- Prepare students for practical performances, coursework, and external examinations.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful, constructive feedback.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that builds students’ confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
- Promote Drama and the performing arts throughout the school.
- Support and lead after-school Drama clubs and activities.
- Contribute to, or lead, at least one school production each year.
- Commit to after-school rehearsals when required to support successful school productions.
- Maintain accurate academic and assessment records.
- Participate in curriculum development, parent meetings, school events, and professional development.
- Uphold KES safeguarding policies and professional standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre, Performing Arts, Education, or a closely related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification or licence preferred.
- Ability to teach Drama up to IGCSE level.
- Experience teaching A-Level Drama is welcomed.
- One to two years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Experience directing or contributing to school productions and extracurricular Drama activities.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative, enthusiastic, and flexible approach.
- Willingness to participate in after-school clubs, rehearsals, and productions.
- Eligible to obtain a Kuwait work visa.
