Job Title: Part-Time Pre-K/KG-1 Teacher’s Assistant (Local Hires - Only)

Position Overview:

ACA is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Pre-K/KG-1 Teacher’s Assistant to support our youngest learners in a dynamic and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the homeroom teacher to foster a safe, supportive, and creative classroom that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the homeroom teacher in delivering daily lessons and activities.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Help supervise students during playtime, meals, and transitions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture in alignment with ACA’s values.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
• Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or Education (required).
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to young learners’ needs.
• A commitment to fostering a love of learning in early childhood.
